Ellis County Ministerial Alliance
Clergy in Ellis County work
together to promote ecumenism and promote community projects.
One project for the year 2000
has been the Festival of Faith Homecoming 2000 Jesus:
Bridge to the New Millennium.
It began with a New Year´s
Eve celebration Dec. 31, 1999, to ring in the year 2000 at the
Gala 2000 Celebration at Fort Hays State University´s Gross
Memorial Coliseum.
The events have continued
nearly every month through 2000, with various churches joining
together to promote unity in Christ through joint worship services.
Those monthly services will
continue through the rests of 2000, with each month´s service
publicized in the Friday Faith page of The Hays Daily News.
Committee members
are Pastor Kyle Ermoian, Pastor Wes Oakley, Pastor Will Haworth,
Father Don Zimmerman, Verlin Pfannenstiel and Jean Ross.
