Hays Area Roadrunners

Purpose: Promote social running. All types of runners welcome. Club meets every Tuesday spring through fall, and Thursday during winter months.

Hays Association of Young Swimmers

Fall practice begins in September. A non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote swimming as a competitive sport and a healthful leisure time activity among young people.
Membership is open to anyone 5 to 18 years of age. Fees assessed. A free trial period is offered.

Hays Business and Professional Women's Club

Purpose: BPW is the voice of America's working women, promoting full participation, equity and economic self-sufficiency. Members come together for regular meetings and special programs - to network professionally, to share contacts and carrier strategies and to work on political and social issues.

Hays Christian Women's Club

Purpose: A monthly women's group fellowship with fun and exciting special features, fantastic music and uplifting dynamic speakers. The afternoon group meets at noon the second Monday of each month at the Country Kitchen Convention Center, 3208 Vine. The evening group meets at 7 p.m. the second Monday of each month at the Golden Ox Pavilion, 1006 Cody.

Hays Medical Center Auxiliary
Hays Medical Center Auxiliary provides supplementary services which offer individuals the opportunity to volunteer in a number of areas including two information desks, the gift shop, delivering mail, shredding, medical library, sewing, crafting, community blood screenings, and office assistance. Shifts and time requirements vary depending on the service, availability and openings. VolunTEENS ages 14 by June 1 through 19 function June until August. Call (785) 623-5890 for more information.

Hays School Orchestra Boosters Club

Purpose: To support and promote the welfare of the students participating in the orchestra program at USD 489. To promote congenial relations between participating orchestra students, teaching staff, club members and the community.
All parents, guardians and supporters of Hays school orchestra can become members.

Hays Striders Track Club

Purpose: To provide youths between the ages of 7 and 18 an opportunity to learn and participate in various track and field events. Athletes compete in divisions according to age and gender.
Youths between the ages of 7 and 14 are eligible to participate if they are not involved in organized school programs after they have completed state competition. Membership is open to any resident in Ellis County or the surrounding area as long a there is not an organized program within their respective towns or communities.
The season begins in early April and continuous into qualifying meets in June and July. An athlete who qualifies in the June and July meets advances to the annual a National AAU Junior Olympic games.

Hays Symphony Guild

Purpose: To provide support and appreciation for the orchestra, promote attendance and help to underwrite public performances. The guild hopes to encourage musicians to remain active in the area and further enhance the concert offerings of the region. Membership categories include friends, $25, donors, $50, patrons, $100, sustainers, $250, and benefactors, $500 and up.

Founded in 1988, the main objective of the club is to create an all-car club with interests in all makes of cars, from daily drivers to show vehicles. The club participates in various car shows, parades, special benefits and club activities. The club meets the second Monday of each month. Membership dues are $12 per year and include a monthly newsletter and auto parts discount.

Purpose: To promote quality childcare in a legally licensed or registered day care home. The group prints a semi-annual list of such homes, available in public locations. The group conducts five meetings yearly, as well as other specialized events.

Purpose: To help the victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Support groups for adults, children and adolescents. Educational programs, internships and practimums are available.

Northwest Kansas Fibromyalgia-MFP Arthritis Support Group
Purpose: A support group for people who suffer from chronic pain, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, myofascial pain or arthritis. Physician, psychologist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, certified massage therapist and other health care professionals moderate discussion and offer instruction in pain-reduction techniques. A structured 4 to 6 week Fibromyalgia program is available. Call (785) 623-5759 for more information.

Northwest Kansas Singles Club

Purpose: A non-profit organization whose goal is to provide social activities for single adults. A dance is sponsored every other Thursday at the Fanchon ballroom. Dances start at 8 p.m. and last until midnight.
Membership is open to anyone 21 years of age who is single, widowed or divorced. There is a yearly membership fee of $6 and a cover charge of $4 per dance. Membership fees may be paid at the door.
